Private Ballet Lessons
Your body doesn’t have to hold you back. Learn tools to support your unique body so you can nail your pirouettes, soar through allegro, and make the improvements that matter to YOU.
The more dancing you do, the more you need to care for your body. Ballet technique relies on moving well so you can keep improving, take on fun challenges, and grow as an artist. Group classes juggle many dancers’ needs at once, leaving you to figure out your body on your own. Without the right tools, dancers too often hit a wall via frustration or injury.

I hit my wall around the time I graduated from professional ballet school. Illness, injuries, and stress took a toll on my innate coordination, and my dancing fell apart. When I found a passion for teaching, the missing pieces clicked into place. I learned tools to support mobility, retrain disrupted coordination, and master complex movements without excessively straining the body.
Now I help adult dancers self-empower their ballet journey — no teacher or studio has all the answers, but when you understand how technique works in your body, you don’t have to wait for the perfect class to make big improvements.
Private ballet lessons can help you:
- Understand exactly what to work on.
- Count on your body to do its thing so you can let go and have fun.
- Get out of the rut between physio and full class.
- Say goodbye to comparison, focus on what you need to thrive, and enjoy your unique dance journey.
Each online lesson includes:
- A 1-hour Zoom class devoted to your questions and goals.
- Written recaps of the key concepts and exercises we’ve worked on.
- Short and sweet homework that fits into your busy life and makes your body feel GOOD.
Book a free no-pressure call to chat about your ballet goals and scheduling availability. I’ll answer any questions you have about private lessons, and we can both decide if we’re a good fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upgrade to a bigger class pack later?
Yes! If you buy an assessment pack or 4-class pack, I’m happy to prorate the cost of a larger class pack within 30 days of your first class. For example, when switching from an assessment pack, you’d pay $330 for an 8-class pack, and have 6 hours remaining.
Can I take private lessons while I’m injured?
Most likely, yes! You should talk with your dance physio or other healthcare provider to get a diagnosis and treatment plan. From there, I can create a modified class within the parameters they set, which might include floor barre, seated work, or adaptations to traditional ballet exercises.
Returning to full class is a gradual process that needs to be guided by your health professional. We can use modified exercises to offload your injury while it heals, and improve your technique to smooth the transition, reduce your risk of future injury, and make big improvements in your dancing along the way!
Do you teach beginners? Can I just learn ballet privately?
I don’t teach absolute beginners in private or group lessons. My focus is on helping dancers expand their technique and creative expression, once they’re familiar with the basic steps used in most classes.
As a rule of thumb, you should have at least one year’s experience in a ballet class with a qualified teacher (online or in-person) before booking classes with me.
Can I take private lessons if I’m not currently taking group classes?
I’m happy to take on experienced students who are without a studio, or aren’t currently accessing class elsewhere! I don’t teach the basic ballet steps from scratch, but if you’re still familiar and comfortable with the movements found in a typical ballet class and have a goal in mind, private lessons may be a good option for you.
